The most meaningful gifts you can leave your loved ones are the values, wisdom, and life lessons that have shaped who you are.

Please join us for a thoughtful and inspiring workshop about Ethical Wills with Rabbi Karen Strok. After a lovely brunch, we will have an opportunity to begin the process of designing Ethical Wills, which are deeply personal, non-legal documents that allow us to share non-tangible assets, such as our values, beliefs, and hopes, with future generations. Unlike a legal will, which distributes property and assets, an ethical will focuses on your spiritual and emotional legacy.

Rabbi Karen Strok believes Jewish tradition can help us live with wisdom, courage, and compassion. Rabbi Strok received her rabbinic ordination and master’s degrees in Hebrew Letters and Jewish Education from Hebrew Union College–Jewish Institute of Religion. For nearly a quarter of a century as a rabbi, she has guided individuals and communities toward meaningful, connected living. As the founder of the website Jewish ritual, reimagined, she brings Judaism to life through spiritual support and interactive teaching. Her professional career includes directing the Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning at Stephen Wise Temple and serving in leadership and teaching roles at Melton International, Milken Community School, Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion’s Day School Leadership through Teaching program, and Temple Judea.

Forever Lions are those generous women who endow their Lion of Judah gift in perpetuity, most typically
in their estate planning documents.
