The annual Women’s Luncheon is taking a theatrical turn! 

Come together with the community you love at Sylvia Weisz Women's Philanthropy’s Brunch and a Show. Sit back as the groundbreaking Jewish story company The Braid brings to life real, personal reflections of humor, heartbreak, hope, and resilience in a post-Oct. 7th world. The show is based on Zibby Owens’ bestselling book, On Being Jewish Now.

There will also be an opportunity to continue supporting the work of JFEDLA and to hear about your impact firsthand from those keeping our community safe and thriving.

You’ll be gripped by noted author Joanna Rakoff’s (My Salinger Year) tale of visiting a hidden underground synagogue in Spain. Laugh as famed actor Mark Feuerstein (Royal Pains) shares about being a 50-year-old man who breakdances. Feel the suspense as esteemed Rabbi Sharon Brous and her family encounter people in Vietnam demanding to know if they’re Jews. And be uplifted by Zibby Owens’s own powerful self-reflection about the need to stand up and make one’s voice heard, plus other stories. As Owens declares, “being in a room together… and sharing the experiences will be so incredible.”
