Beth Lane is the award-winning director, executive producer, and writer of UnBroken, a powerful feature documentary and her directorial debut. A second-generation Holocaust survivor and multidisciplinary artist, Beth is committed to fostering empathy and building bridges through storytelling, design, and meditation.
UnBroken premiered at the 2023 Heartland International Film Festival — just one day after the October 7th Hamas attacks on Israel — where it won Best Documentary Feature Premiere. Since then, it has garnered multiple Audience Choice Awards and earned Beth the Best First-Time Filmmaker honor at the 2024 Hot Springs International Women’s Film Festival.
Beth began developing UnBroken while earning her MFA at UCLA’s School of Theater, Film & Television. The film is both a professional milestone and a deeply personal tribute to the Weber siblings’ survival as Jews in Nazi Germany — brought to life through original music, graphics, and animation.
She is the founder of The Weber Family Arts Foundation, which combats antisemitism, bigotry, and hate through arts-driven storytelling and activism. UnBroken is the foundation’s inaugural project.
Beth is also a sought-after speaker and host of the Instagram Live podcast Banter with Beth.
