Your vote counts! Join us on Tuesday, October 9th, for Part 1 of our Vav series. Vav in Hebrew means “and,” which serves as a connector — and these programs will allow you to connect your ideals with action.
Sponsored by our Federation’s Community Engagement Initiative and held in partnership with Jewish Family Service (JFS) of Los Angeles, this initial event will feature a non-partisan panel of policy and election experts discussing the four housing measures on the November California State ballot. Moderated by Dan Schnur, Professor at USC’s Annenberg School of Communications and UC Berkeley’s Institute of Governmental Studies, panelists Renee Chanon, Former President, League of Women Voters of Los Angeles; Wendy Greuel, Member of the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority Commission; and Pete Peterson, Dean of Pepperdine’s School of Public Policy, will also touch on other key ballot measures that will have a direct impact in Los Angeles.
Attendees will be able to register to vote, request absentee ballots, and learn about additional ways to get involved with housing organizations working toward solutions.
