Figs, honey, olives, grapes, pomegranates, barley, and wheat comprise the Seven Species of the ancient world, and in biblical times served as staple foods consumed in the land of Israel. Each one contains a particular spiritual energy and serves an ecological purpose, and they are honored together during the holiday of Tu B’Shvat, which celebrates consciousness, environmentalism, and Israeli agriculture. Join us for a special dinner featuring these ingredients and their meanings — including seven craft cocktails to choose from — at Jaffa, a modern Israeli restaurant in West Hollywood praised by Eater and the Infatuation.
