Our Federation’s Sylvia Weisz Women’s Philanthropy and our Caring for Jews in Need strategic initiative invite you and a friend (or two) to a captivating talk with mother, lawyer, and mental health advocate Andrea Sonnenberg on Wednesday, June 16th, at 10:30 AM via Zoom. She will share her harrowing experience with the mental health care system, how it failed her son, and her rallying cry for change. Please join us as we learn from Andrea and support her in her quest to correct how our country handles — or mishandles — mental illness and prevent other families from undergoing related trauma.

Your attendance at this event contributes to The Jewish Federation’s life-changing work. Our Federation stepped up and worked diligently with our partners to address the most pressing needs caused by the COVID-19 crisis. We were there to strengthen the fading heartbeat of Jewish L.A. by:

  • Supporting the survival and safe reopening of our local Jewish institutions and Jewish-owned businesses
  • Providing meal deliveries to our homebound frail and elderly
  • Improving mental health and awareness in teens and young adults
  • Connecting community members to one another through virtual events
