Ambassador Dennis Ross is the counselor and William Davidson Distinguished Fellow at The Washington Institute for Near East Policy. He also teaches at Georgetown University’s Center for Jewish Civilization. For more than 12 years, Amb. Ross played a leading role in shaping U.S. involvement in the Middle East peace process, dealing directly with the parties as the U.S. point person on the process in both the George H. W. Bush and Bill Clinton administrations. He served two and half years as special assistant to President Obama and National Security Council senior director for the Central Region, spending the first six months as the special advisor on Iran to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.

 

 

Israel Bachar was appointed Consul General of Israel to the Pacific Southwest in May 2023, and assumed the post in September. Coming from the private sector, he is one of the most respected and sought-after political strategists in the country. Mr. Bachar has decades of experience in Israel’s ever-shifting political landscape; his background serves him well in his role as Israel’s senior representative to the Pacific Southwest region. Founder and CEO of Bachar Strategy, Consul General Bachar has been a close confidant and advisor to the most influential politicians of Israel’s modern era, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Former Prime Minister Yair Lapid, and Former Minister of Defense Benny Gantz.

 

 

Orna Wolens currently serves on the Board of Directors of The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles and the Jewish Federations of North America as well as National Women’s Philanthropy. She serves on the Los Angeles Federation’s Campaign Cabinet, The Strategic Planning and Distribution Committee and is a Community Leadership Institute mentor. Orna has chaired the NuRoots Committee, Ensuring the Jewish Future Committee, Jewish Campus Life Committee and the Hineni Dinner.

Orna graduated from Bryn Mawr College and received her law degree from Loyola Law School. Orna and her husband Keenan have four children.
