Micah Wexler

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Chef Micah Wexler developed a passion for the restaurant industry at a very early age. At 15, Wexler’s first job was working with legendary Italian Chef Gino Angelini at Vincenti Restaurant in Brentwood. It was through this early life experience that led Wexler to enroll in the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University. On his summer breaks from college, Wexler worked the line in top L.A. kitchens including Melisse, Patina, and Spago. Upon graduation, he spent a year traveling through Europe, cooking at some of the highest-rated restaurant establishments. He honed his craft at 1-star Michelin Restaurant La Taverna Righi in San Marino and 3-Star Michelin Restaurant Martin Berasategui in San Sebastian, Spain.

After returning to the U.S., he moved to New York to become part of the opening team for L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon as a chef de partie. Following two years in New York, Wexler came home to Los Angeles to become Sous Chef at Tom Colicchio’s Craft in Century City. In 2014, Wexler and his partner Michael Kassar opened the first location of Wexler's Deli   honoring traditional Jewish deli classics   and, after continued success, brought the concept with an expanded menu to Santa Monica in 2016 and opened their third location at Westfield Century City in 2017. In addition, Wexler has been named one of the Top 20 Chefs in L.A. by Los Angeles Magazine and was also a semi-finalist for the James Beard Rising Star Chef in America Award.
