The women of Brentwood and Hillcrest Country Clubs invite you and your partner to join us via Zoom on Wednesday, May 26th, at 6:30 PM for Combating Antisemitism with Jewish Pride: Understanding Our Past to Focus on Our Future. This in-depth conversation between Jewish author and educator Ben Freeman and our Federation’s Senior Vice President, Community Engagement Alisa Finsten will cover the history of antisemitism, how it transformed into hostility toward Jews today, and how a Jewish pride movement can help inspire our future generations. Federation’s Chief Operating & Financial Officer Ivan Wolkind will give an update on The Jewish Federation’s Community Security Initiative.

Each registrant will receive a copy of Ben Freeman’s book, Jewish Pride: Rebuilding a People.

Your attendance at this event contributes to The Jewish Federation’s life-changing work. Our Federation stepped up and worked diligently with our partners to address the most pressing needs caused by the COVID-19 crisis. We were there to strengthen the fading heartbeat of Jewish L.A. by:

  • Supporting the survival and safe reopening of our local Jewish institutions and Jewish-owned businesses
  • Providing meal deliveries to our homebound frail and elderly
  • Improving mental health and awareness in teens and young adults
  • Connecting community members to one another through virtual events

If you have any questions regarding how to join this virtual experience, please contact Lauren Shorten at LShorten@JewishLA.org or (323) 761-8306.
