Howard Schwimmer

Howard Schwimmer’s involvement with The Jewish Federation spans over 30 years. His commitment to the Real Estate & Construction Network has evolved during that time and he is currently Chair of the Real Estate Principals Organization (RPO). Howard’s real estate expertise helped The Jewish Federation shape the RPO Allocations Committee and, as Chair, he guided funds to over 40 organizations through RPO-allocated grants.

Howard has been married to his wife Linda for 27 years. They have three children: Arin, Adam, and Ethan. Howard and Linda maintain a long-held family commitment to The Jewish Federation. Linda currently serves as Co-Chair of Federation’s Sylvia Weisz Women’s Philanthropy. Their parents inspired Howard and Linda to engage in acts of tikkun olam within the Jewish community. Arin, Adam, and Ethan expect to continue on the same path. Howard also serves on the USC Lusk Center Real Estate Leadership Council and is a Board Member of USC Hillel and a past Board Chair.

Professionally, Howard is Rexford Industrial Realty’s Co-Chief Executive Officer and has served on its Board of Directors since July 2013. Prior to founding Rexford Industrial in 2001, Howard served as a Manager and Board Member for one of California’s oldest industrial brokerage companies. Southern California industrial real estate is the focus of his 39-year real estate career, including, acquisition, development, and value-add improvement to over 50 million square feet of industrial product. Howard received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California in 1983 where he majored in business with an emphasis in real estate finance and development.
