Our Honorees:

Joli M. Altshule
2021 Doris Factor Leadership Award Recipient

Joli Altshule Joli is an outstanding Federation leader who currently serves as Sylvia Weisz Women’s Philanthropy (SWWP) Brentwood Country Club Outreach Chair and Co-Chair of our Federation’s Finance & Business Professionals Network. Joli also currently serves on the Wilshire Boulevard Temple Investment Committee and the Brawerman Elementary School Endowment Committee and Endowment Investment Committee. Joli has been a successful and dedicated leader within the Federation for many years in both Los Angeles and, previously, New York. On the professional side, Joli works at Goldman, Sachs, & Co. Through Joli’s time as Brentwood Country Club Outreach Chair, she has been instrumental in bringing in the next generation of SWWP leaders, which she believes is of utmost importance for the future of our Jewish community. Joli has also helped plan the annual Brentwood Women’s Luncheon in the past and served on both National Young Leadership Cabinet and The Jewish Federation’s Community Engagement Executive Committee. In 2014, Joli was the recipient of the Young Women’s Leadership Award at the General Assembly.

Jewish philanthropy is a part of Joli’s DNA. Her parents Lynette and Derek Brown are pillars in our community and served on a number of boards and committees at the Federation. Joli met her wonderful husband Andrew at a Federation event through an introduction from her parents. Both Joli and Andrew, who is incredibly active at Federation and serves on the Federation Board, chaired a young leadership mission to Poland and Israel in 2010, which was a life-changing experience.

Joli and Andrew have two beautiful children, Liv and Winston, and reside in the Pacific Palisades.

Nancy Beiser
2021 Rita Reznikoff Leadership Award Recipient

Nancy BeiserNancy Beiser was born and raised in Los Angeles by parents who instilled the importance of Jewish education and philanthropy in their children. From their extensive volunteerism in the community, Nancy's parents became excellent role models for Nancy to follow and, thus, she recently served as past Co-Chair of The Jewish Federation’s Sylvia Weisz Women's Philanthropy, a current member of the Federation Board of Directors, a member of JFNA's National Women's Philanthropy Board, a member of Federation's Jewish Campus Life Committee, a mentor for Federation's Community Leadership Institute program, and a Lion of Judah Endowment Chair. She also serves on the Camp Ramah Executive Board, Birthright Leadership Council, and AIPAC Valley Executive Committee, is a member of the pro-Israel political network, and is actively involved in her synagogue Valley Beth Shalom.

Nancy is a UCLA graduate and has her own business, By Nancy, personalizing gifts and party favors. She is married to Scott, with whom she has two children, Kyle and Tara.

Dr. Sheila Nazarian

Dr. Sheila NazarianDr. Sheila Nazarian is an Emmy-nominated, board-certified plastic surgeon with a private practice in Beverly Hills. She founded the Nazarian Institute where she helps medical professionals develop their business skills by Thinking BIG — Branding, Innovation, Growth. Dr. Nazarian stars in the Emmy-nominated Netflix original series Skin Decision: Before and After. She also enjoys being an influencer on social media (with over 600k followers on Instagram) talking about Jewish identity and combating antisemitism.

Special thanks to Jeanne and Tony Pritzker for underwriting the series as a loving tribute to Tony’s late mother, Susan S. Pritzker. The goal of the Pritzker series is to feature dynamic and educational presentations by top professionals, appealing to women of all stages of life.
