NuRoots' sixth (!) annual citywide Hanukkah festival starts December 10 with First Night, a joyous and interactive community-wide celebration and candle lighting, then heads through seven more nights of virtual parties and gatherings with amazing community organizations. (See the full lineup!) And to tie it all together, we're capping the week off with a special gift box to cover all your needs — from Hanukkah essentials to special treats like luxury candles and local olive oil.

First Night

On Thursday, December 10, from 7:00–8:30 pm, NuRoots is bringing the community together to celebrate the big light of Hanukkah with a star-studded extravaganza. Mayim Bialik (The Big Bang Theory), Stephanie Butnick (Tablet's Unorthodox podcast), Jackie Tohn (GLOW), and Alex Edelman (Saturday Night Seder) will take the virtual stage for comedy, music, and more — all emceed by actor, comedian, and beat-boxer extraordinaire Joshua Silverstein. Join us to spark the first candle, play in our game show, and light up your living room.
