Sandy Sigal, an entrepreneur in the real estate industry for over 30 years, is the Chief Executive Officer, President, and Founder of NewMark Merrill Companies. NewMark Merrill is one of the fastest growing privately held developer and owner of shopping centers in California, Colorado, and Illinois. He is also Chairman and Co-Founder of BrightStreet Ventures.

Sandy learned accounting and project management at the age of 12 as a programmer and software developer for personal computers, which paved the way to his real estate career. When he was 20, he used these skills to land a job at West Venture Companies and was eventually promoted to President and CEO of its parent company.

Since NewMark Merrill's inception in 1997, Mr. Sigal has acquired, developed, and/or managed and repositioned over 100 additional retail centers, and the company has earned top accolades for its projects and reputation in the real estate community.

Outside of his business endeavors, Sandy is active in community organizations — stemming from his childhood experience at Camp Bob Waldorf at the formative ages of 7 and 8. He currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Board and Dinner Chair of the Camp Bob Waldorf Foundation since 2004 and received the William Shatner Humanitarian Award for his work for the Foundation and the Camp. Additionally, he serves on the board of Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters (JBBBS) as a member of its executive committee. Mr. Sigal is also a mentor for young adults interested in real estate through The Jewish Federation’s Community Leadership Institute (CLI) and Co-Chair of Federation’s Real Estate Principals Organization (RPO).

Mr. Sigal is a dynamic member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO), the leading organization of CEOs and presidents in the world, and serves on its Regional Board. He is currently Network Chair of the Real Estate Network, representing over 3,700 Real Estate CEOs. Sandy has won numerous awards for his chapter and YPO education programs.

Sandy has four children and resides in Hidden Hills.
