*Nell Scovell is a television and magazine writer, producer, director and collaborator with Sheryl Sandberg on the #1 New York Times bestseller Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead.
In her 2018 book, Just the Funny Parts: …And a Few Hard Truths About Sneaking into the Hollywood Boys’ Club, Nell takes a deep dive into three subjects that she loves: comedy, writing, and equality.
Nell is the creator of the television series Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and her TV writing credits include The Simpsons, Coach, Monk, Murphy Brown, Charmed, and NCIS. She has contributed to Vanity Fair, Vogue, Rolling Stone, The Washington Post, and The New York Times. Nell lives in Los Angeles and Boston.
This event is open to all women who make a minimum gift to The Jewish Federation’s 2018 Annual Campaign. For those who have given a gift in the past, the minimum gift is $500. For those who have never given to the Federation before, we kindly ask that you make a meaningful gift.
