* CAROL LEIFER is an award-winning producer, author, comedy writer, and stand-up comedian. She is a four-time Emmy^® nominee for her writing on extraordinary television shows such as Seinfeld, Saturday Night Live, and The Larry Sanders Show. She won the prestigious Writers Guild Award for her work on one of television’s leading comedy shows, Modern Family. Carol has written for the Oscars^® telecast eight times, more than any other female writer. She started writing in 2004 for then-host Billy Crystal and most recently in 2018 for host Jimmy Kimmel. In addition, she received a Writers Guild Award nomination for her work on the Tony^® Awards.

Carol is currently the Co-Executive Producer of the new NBC show, Better Late than Never, and is working as the head writer for Carol Burnett’s new Netflix series, A Little Help, that premiered this May. Carol holds the record — an impressive 25 times — for the most appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman. As an established author, Carol shares her unique perspective on life in her acclaimed bestsellers When You Lie About Your Age, the Terrorists Win and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Crying. She has a special way of brilliantly and comically weaving her Jewish upbringing and experience as a strong woman in a male-dominated industry into her storytelling.
